  2. Enter your From and To stations and the date of travel, then tap Search.
  3. Pick the Vande Bharat train from the list. Match the train number with the table above and check the days it runs.
  4. Choose your class, AC Chair Car (CC) or AC Executive Chair Car (EC), and check seat availability.
  5. Add passenger names, ages and a mobile number. Select your boarding station if the train has more than one stop near you.

Booking Tips for Andhra Pradesh Routes

  • Book early. Indian Railways opens advance booking 60 days before the journey (not counting the travel day). On IRCTC, booking generally opens at 8:00 AM.
  • Plan around festivals. Sankranti in January, Dussehra, Diwali and summer holidays push demand up. The Tirupati train is especially busy on weekends and pilgrimage days.
  • Prefer 20-coach trains for last-minute trips. The 8-coach services (Narasapur, Bhubaneswar and Durg) have fewer seats.
  • Try Tatkal if shown. When your train offers a Tatkal quota on IRCTC, it opens one day before the train leaves its starting station.
  • Do not rely on a waitlist. Vande Bharat has only AC seats, and a ticket that stays waitlisted after the chart is made is cancelled and refunded.
  • Pick the right station. Choose the boarding point closest to you. For example, Rajahmundry and Samalkot on the Visakhapatnam–Secunderabad line, or Renigunta if you are heading to Tirupati from Chennai.

Fastest and Longest Routes

  • Longest route: Visakhapatnam–Secunderabad, at about 698 km. Two separate pairs (20833/20834 and 20707/20708) cover this distance.
  • Shortest journey: Bhubaneswar–Visakhapatnam, at about 444 km and under six hours.
  • Highest average speed: The 20833/20834 service averages about 81 km/h on the published Vande Bharat list, the best among these seven routes. These trains have a top speed of 130 km/h, but track limits and stops reduce the average.

Classes and Amenities Explained

AC Chair Car (CC)

This is the standard class. You get an air-conditioned coach with push-back seats in a 3+2 layout. It costs less and has the most seats on every train.

AC Executive Chair Car (EC)

This is the premium class. Seats are wider, with more legroom, in a 2+2 layout, and they rotate so you can face the direction of travel. Each train has only a few Executive coaches, so book early.

What you get on board

  • Automatic doors and wide windows
  • Charging points and reading lights at the seats
  • Overhead racks for bags
  • CCTV cameras and bio-vacuum toilets
  • On-board catering with vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices

Vande Bharat Fare Range

Fares depend on distance, class and whether catering is included. Treat the numbers below as a rough guide only, because they come from launch-time reports and third-party fare lists, not from a current IRCTC chart.

  • On the long routes of 650 to 700 km, a Chair Car ticket has been reported at roughly ₹1,250 to ₹1,700, and an Executive Chair Car ticket at roughly ₹2,300 to ₹3,100.
  • At launch in April 2023, the Secunderabad–Tirupati fare with catering was ₹1,680 for Chair Car and ₹3,080 for Executive.
  • Shorter routes, such as Bhubaneswar–Visakhapatnam, cost less.

Check the live fare for your date on IRCTC before you plan your budget.
